Obviously, Numerology is an outstanding tool for algorithmic/generative composition (whether stochastic or rule-based), but I wonder if there are tools out there that people find particularly helpful for doing this kind of work in conjunction with Numerology.
I picked up Noatikl over the weekend and, well, it made me appreciate Numerology's interface. ![]() |

Slightly, obliquely off topic:
https://www.instagram.com/five12inc/ .... I do the same tricks in these videos w/ the Vector that I do in Numerology -- tracks with differing lengths, lost of randomized events, and, well, lots of reverb... Cheers, Jim |

Among algorithmic and generative things I could point to TidalCycles (written as an embedded DSL on top of Haskell language) and some cool modules (as TuringMachine) from VCV Rack.
