Numerology 4 Build 141

New Module: The Sample Kit (in the 'Audio Synths' module group)

This is a new module that will eventually replace both the DrumKit and SampleSynth. It has the same basic capabilities of both of those modules, plus some updates:

- A new UI with a cleaner layout.
- A zoomable waveform with waveform overview.
- The waveform automatically widens as you widen the main UI.
- You can have up to 32 'parts'.
- Each part can be expanded and collapsed independently.
- The module auto-resizes based on the number of parts & whether they are expanded or collapsed.
- There are two boundary setting modes: 'Start, Loop, End' and 'Start, Length'.
- Up to 8 mute groups.
- Assignable per-part outputs.
- Mute & Solo for all parts.
- Master volume & mute controls.
- It does not glitch when doing certain tricks involving modulated start & end points.

There are some function and UI details that need to be finished, but most everything works. One item in particular I want to add is the ability to import module presets from the DrumKit and SampleSynth modules.

Other New Stuff:

- Push : Now has basic knob support for the Mixer pages (Volume, Pan, Aux Send) and many 'Rack Edit' pages.
- Push : The LCD now displays values for all Mixer pages.

Fixes & Updates:

- GateSeq : The 'Gate Adj' param is now automatable and MIDI/OSC learnable.
- AU/VST : LFO/Envelope/ModSeq & ParamMod : Fixed an issue where param mod would sometimes not
correctly re-load after saving & loading a project.
- ParamMod : Fixed an issue when setting up ParamMod on certain int params (StartStep, EndStep, etc.)
- Module Export : Module presets for DrumKit & Sample Synth Now include audio samples.
- ChordSeq : Fixed an issue that could cause a crash.
- Mixer : Volume now ranges 0 to 110 as it should.
- Undo w/ Module Parameters : Fixed an issue where undo-ing param changes might affect the wrong stack preset.
- Activation : Updated to the latest Esellerate libs -- hopefully will fix an activation issue.
- MonoExtraction : Fixed a crash that could happen if this module is bypassed.
- AU Hosting : Fixed a audio buffer issue that could cause symbiosis-based plugins to crash.
- Playlist: Exit Loop Btn : Now has a proper icon.
- Browser : File Preview : The 'Show in Finder' button now has an icon.
- Navigator: Now has icons for 'video' and 'doc'.

This sounds amazing and I can't wait to work with it but I can't find it - in Audio Synths or any of the other groups - even after cleaning my spectacles.

Am I doing something wrong?

@not glitch...YES!!!!!! But i can't find it in build 141. Bummer. Will it have equal power crossfades as well (Like Live's Simpler & Sampler have), or will this be implemented someday? Important for smooth loops without volume dips like is the case with linear crossfades.

THANK YOU!!!! Now please add faderbox support for those knobs....please.....?

One little thing: when i adjust a mixer setting with the mouse, it doesn't update on Push's display. It doesn't cause 'parameter jumps' or whatever though.

Awesome work Jim!!!!! Once again the man proves he IS Superman without ever bragging about it.....

Whoops.... I forgot to increment the internal version number for the factory modules library... Anway, the file you need is attached. Just copy it to:

<home dir>/Music/Five12/Application Support/Numerology/Modules/Audio Synths.

.... I'll have a properly updated build out later today...

Cheers,
Jim

Just FYI. I am running Build 140 and tried to check for updates via the "Check for Updates..." menu item yet the following dialog states that "Your version of Numerology is up to date!". I'm going to pull it down manually.

It does look really cool. I just loaded it up for a quick peek so there wasn't enough time to really check out all of the features (at work). One question. How does one load samples into this lovely device?
