-- a lot of weird into a small space -- yeah, go for it, Jim !

I'll think about it -- probably a good idea though. You can do it now w/ param mod: Use a GateSeq & ParamMod to trigger auto-evolve, then just tweak or turn off per-stack-preset.

This gets back to an old feature that I removed a while back and keep meaning to re-add: revert for stack presets. What that really means is that the active preset data is always seen as the 'edit' buffer and it is either always saved or only saved on command. In this case, you would want to set the stack to only save on command...

That gets into customization of generators & evolve. I'm already making some notes in that area, esp. w.r.t. custom evolve actions with parameters: i.e. "invert the 3rd step of the sequence".

Definitely that should be added, will give it a bump on the list…

You're cracking me up… The main thing for me right now in adding new features is to avoid 'feature collision' -- i.e. unexpected negative interactions between a new feature and an old one. For instance, mixer scenes are an obvious feature addition, but I want to make sure that they work in a useful and intuitive manner with the existing arrangement options (playlist, timeline).

Big Bump for a very useful idea.
I has a nice pattern going and didn't notice that the automate button was engaged, now I've shifted / pitched / screwed a good initial idea and can't backtrack my way to my initial pattern
(or can I? how?).
My bad mind you, but still that feature would have saved my day.

Cheers

Paul

Would love to see auto on/off per preset.
