Default investment of the year

Hello,

this morning I made my investment of the year:

FabFilter One

from here: www.fabfilter.com

It is to get the next days till 24 April 2009 for 5 Euro.

Its a simple synth with one oscilator and a Fat and Ultra-smooth self-oscillating low-pass filter.....

Every knob is reachable by ParamMod with a written name what makes modulation very easy.
Please have a look to the pictures.

For this money a nice new toy to play with for me.

best
jue

PS: Please be shure that I am NOT involved in any bussines with this company!!!!!!

hello,

sorry, but the only thing what I was looking further was their delay timeless.
But at the end I got the soundtoys bundle what filled all my needs with delays.
But if they make it for 10 Euro I will buy it also.
On the compressor side I take the differend ones from Universal Audio since I got the UAD1 Xpress because I am waiting for the UAD2 Laptop PCIA 32 Card.

But I have to say that I am not so in compression, I try to keep my signals undercontroll before by more other modulation/mangeling.

I use the FabFilter Pro-C compressor quite a bit. It's regularly rated as one of the better / best native compressors. I also use The Glue (new from Cytomic) and Stillwell Audio's Rocket.

Pro-C compares very well. It is quite transparent, and offers excellent control over all relevant parameters. Mid-side processing is excellent.

Anyway ... enough talk! You can try all FabFilter products fully functional for 30 days here:

Back OT ... FabFilter One is an excellent synth, don't pass it up for $5

Peace,
Andy.

hello,

today I made a stack from only one MonoNote but six FF Ones.

Some ModulationSeqs for cutoff, peak or PW and this simple synth beginns its living.
So I think if you want a °real fat synth sound° you just have to add a few more and the only question is were is the border?
Add some FXs and ......

Hey Jue do you mind sending in a setup for the MonoNote and 6 FF Ones with the Mod Seq?

I feel really comfortable with a lot of Numerology's basic functions but I'm still trying to wrap my head around using ModSeqs, CV seqs and other more advanced techniques. I'm never sure where to put those things in a stack and how to use them in the Timeline.

Thanks!

Default Numerology for FF One examples

Hello,

here are three fast examples for research:

FabFilter One Automated - every parameter of the One has a ModulationSeq ( 31! ) to modulate it.
This is a raw setup you have to set the modulations you want by yourself!

FabFilter One Randomizer - every parameter could been randomized by starting and stopping Numerology.
Open the One editor to see whats going on and for manual changes and save.
Please keep in mind that every parameter could been randomized but I use only the ones that give playable results.

Six FF ONEs modulated - in this stack you have one MonoNote that drives six Ones with differend modulations for a bigger tone.

Thanks jue! I will look these over. I downloaded your other examples a couple of days ago and I will check those out as well.

I can see how you are hooking these up n a rack but I'm still having a hard time grasping how to incorporate these advanced Mod and CV Seq techniques into a more "musical" setting. I will keep studying the examples and reading the Numerology manual and hopefully I'll start to get it.

Thanks!
