4 voices of Numerology into a modular synth. I used an APC40 to change 'scenes' in Numerology (changing 4 stacks' presets at once).

Thanks to my friend Ron Sunsinger for the inspiration to go in a little more
'compositional' direction this time.

Ron Sunsinger was talking about your Launchpad setup to me after you showed him. He was blown away by it!! Sounds really amazing- what all you're doing with it. I really like the APC40 design though, and am getting more into using Live, so I'm a bit torn. Right now I'm just using the scene-firing buttons to fire off "scenes" in Numerology (sometimes in tandem with Live scenes): The top button selects all the Preset 1's in every stack, the second button selects Preset 2's in all stacks etc etc. Simple dimple MIDI control and nothing like what Ron described to me of what you have the Launchpad doing. If I could figure out where to physically put the Launchpad I'd consider using both. Or you may tempt me to switch down the road.

I did another video last night generating all the percussion with Numerology this time using one drum seq into Battery 3. Lots of fun. And today I'll see if it sucks or not. The sober light of day tends to expose any suckiness present. The drum seq is so easy and fast to use - I really dig it. I did a piece with the chord sequencer about a month ago that didn't turn out all that great, but man the chord seq is a blast though! I gotta get into using that more. Like anything else I tend to fall into habits and use Numerology the same old ways. It would be good to jump in and try out a bunch of modules and techniques I don't normally use and stretch a bit.

Thanks! I'm glad you like that one. It has more space than most which is a good thing. My stuff tends to get cluttered up at times. In the immortal words of Sun Ra "Space is the place."

Thanks very much. it's a long standing dream to have a system like this and taken years to get it together. I appreciate the heck out of it and don't take it for granted at all.
