Hello,
try something similar like as in the example.
A GateSeq steps a GateSeq thats very variable.

Just to be sure: Are you looking for really slow sequencer rates -- i.e. 1 step every 64 beats, or gate times that are longer than one sequencer step?

-- the former is definitely coming in N5, the latter I don't know yet...

Thanks for replying. That's the trick I'm using at the moment.

It just seemed to me that it could be avoided without much overhead.
